BCPS recognizes 2023-2024 winter athletics state champions

TOWSON, MD—Baltimore County Public Schools is celebrating its high school athletic teams and student-athletes recognized as state champions for the 2023-2024 winter season. Some of the season’s most notable accomplishments include a fourth consecutive state championship for the Pikesville High School girls basketball team, a third state championship for Randallstown wrestler Oguchi Anunobi, and an undefeated wrestling season for Sparrows Point’s Russell Fary.

“We are so proud of this remarkable group of Baltimore County student athletes,” said BCPS Superintendent Dr. Myriam Rogers. “As we celebrate their accolades, I would also like to take a moment to thank their coaches, athletic trainers, physical education teachers, and families for their guidance and support.”

The following student-athletes and teams were honored:
