ABERDEEN, MD—Loud noise alert!
Aberdeen Proving Ground officials say the base has firing operations scheduled for the week of March 18, 2024.
APG has daytime and nighttime testing scheduled for Monday, March 18 – Friday, March 22, from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Noise may be heard in some areas off the installation.
Officials say these operations are not hazardous to residents in the surrounding communities and are integral to ensuring continued readiness of service members.
Organizations on APG take measures to mitigate instances when training or testing becomes problematic to residents off the installation. To ensure the APG minimizes the impact to neighbors, officials monitor the weather and the noise readings continuously throughout each day. APG leadership takes all noise complaints seriously and attempts to provide as much transparency as possible to the surrounding communities without compromising the security of the missions conducted.
