Drug trafficker sentenced to 8 years for distributing fentanyl in Maryland

Orlando Ray Coleman Sr., 44, will spend eight years in prison, followed by three years of supervised release.

Coleman was a drug trafficker operating in the Annapolis and Baltimore metropolitan areas and who was believed to be responsible for distributing drugs to other drug trafficking organizations in the Annapolis area. Additional investigation revealed that Clarence Coby was a source of supply to Coleman, specifically providing Coleman and other Annapolis-areas drug traffickers with fentanyl and cocaine.

On November 28, 2023, 48-year-old Clarence Coby of Baltimore was sentenced to 14 years in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute fentanyl. The sentencing took place in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.

Several search warrants were executed on houses associated with Coleman in mid-May 2021, leading to the recovery of significant amounts of fentanyl, cocaine, crack cocaine, heroin, and paraphernalia at 2 locations. Additionally, several firearms and magazines were also recovered.
