TOWSON, MD—The Baltimore County Police Department has announced the loss of a K9 member.

The department has announced the passing of K9 Chief.

“K9 Chief was a loyal and dedicated member of the Baltimore County Police Department for eight years, serving and protecting the residents of Baltimore County,” the department said in a statement.

“We extend our heartfelt condolences to Officer C. Strevig, who was K9 Chief’s partner,” the department added. “Our thoughts and prayers are with Officer C. Strevig and the members of our K9 Unit during this difficult time.”
