ABERDEEN, MD—Loud noise alert!
Aberdeen Proving Ground officials say the base has firing operations scheduled for this weekend.
APG has firing operations scheduled for Friday, November 17 from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and on Saturday, November 18 from approximately 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Military weapons, watercraft and/or aircraft may be visible during testing hours. Residents may hear weapons firing and see flashes or light visible off post from illumination devices.
These operations are not hazardous to residents in surrounding communities and are integral to ensuring continued readiness of service members.
Organizations on APG take every measure to mitigate instances when training or testing becomes problematic to residents off the installation. APG officials monitor the weather and the noise readings continuously throughout each day.
