ESSEX, MD—An auto repair shop in the Essex area was destroyed in a fire overnight.

At just before 1 a.m. on Wednesday, November 1, units responded to the fire at the BP station location in the 700-block of Eastern Boulevard (21221).

Crews managed to quickly get the blaze under control, but the auto repair shop attached to the gas station was destroyed.

The building was unoccupied at the time and no injuries were reported.
