COCKEYSVILLE, MD— Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash that occurred in Baltimore County on Saturday, October 7th.

The crash occurred at just after 6:15 p.m. in the area of Jarrettsville Pike and Blenheim Roads (21131).

When detectives arrived on the scene, they determined that a 2020 Chevrolet Colorado was traveling southbound on Jarrettsville Pike when it struck a 2012 Honda Civic in the northbound lane.

The operator of the 2012 Honda Civic, 33-year-old Amber Eckert, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing at this hour.
