Two winning $50,000 Powerball, Match 5 tickets sold in Baltimore County

BALTIMORE, MD—The October 4 Powerball and Bonus Match 5 drawings generated plenty of winners, although no one nabbed the $1.2 billion Powerball jackpot. Maryland did sell three $50,000-winning Powerball tickets in Beltsville, Lutherville, and Oxon Hill while another Lutherville business sold a $50,000 top-prize winning Bonus Match 5 ticket.

The first two $50,000-winning Powerball tickets were sold in Prince George’s County by Calverton Exxon located at 4040 Powder Mill Road in Beltsville and in Baltimore County by the Lutherville Giant located at 2145 York Road. A player added Double Play to the third $50,000-winning Powerball ticket, which was sold in Prince George’s County by MGM National Harbor at 101 MGM National Avenue in Oxon Hill.

The winning numbers to match in the Oct0ber 4 Powerball drawing are 9, 35, 54, 63 and 64; the Powerball was 1. The numbers to match in the Double Play drawing are 12, 30, 39, 64 and 67; the Powerball was 22.

Double Play is an extra drawing that takes place about 30 minutes after the Powerball drawing. Players can add Double Play to their tickets for an additional $1. Adding the Double Play option allows players to receive one set of numbers for both the regular draw and the Double Play draw.

Since no one hit the Powerball jackpot, it continues its record roll. The Saturday, October 7 Powerball drawing has an estimated annuity of $1.4 billion and an estimated cash value of $643.7 million. This is the third largest jackpot in Powerball history and the fifth largest jackpot in U.S. history.

Lutherville’s second lucky location sold a $50,000-winning Bonus Match 5 winner. Baltimore County’s Margate BP at 1601 York Road sold the ticket, which carries the winning numbers of 1, 4, 13, 15 and 27; the Bonus Ball was 31.

Lottery officials encourage all winners to sign the back of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location. They have 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.
