BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the Baltimore area.

The watch will remain in effect until 11 p.m. on Saturday night.

Forecasters say the primary threats associated with any storms that develop will be frequent lightning, wind gusts of up to 65 MPH, and quarter-sized hail.

Residents should remain weather-aware throughout the evening hours.
