Quadruple shooting leaves 4 dead in Joppa

JOPPA, MD—Four people are dead following a quadruple shooting in Joppa on Saturday.

At just after 11:15 a.m. on August 26, deputies with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 300-block of Trimble Road for a report of an active shooter situation.

Authorities arrived on scene, entered an apartment, and confirmed multiple victims. In all, four individuals sustained gunshot wounds. Three victims were pronounced dead at the scene. One victim was transported to Shock Trauma but later succumbed to their injuries. It is believed that one of the deceased victims is the suspect.

Police say the incident was isolated to one apartment. It does not appear that entry into the apartment was forced. The Harford County Sheriff’s Office does not believe there are any outstanding suspects at this time.

The names of the involved parties and further details concerning the deaths are not being released at this time. Circumstances and motive remain under investigation.
