BALTIMORE, MD—The work week could start with a bang, literally, in the Baltimore area.

The National Weather Service says there is an enhanced risk of severe storms throughout the region on Monday.

Forecasters say strong winds, large hail, and tornadoes are possible on Monday during a potential severe weather outbreak.

Heavy downpours could also result in localized flash flooding.

Residents should stay weather aware and monitor local forecasts throughout the day.
