BALTIMORE, MD—Thursday will be a scorcher in the Baltimore area, but it could also be a stormy day as well.

The National Weather Service says scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected on Thursday afternoon and evening.

Strong to severe storms are possible with damaging winds being the greatest threat.

High temperatures are also a concern and a Heat Advisory is in effect.
