BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the Baltimore area.

The watch will remain in effect until 11 p.m. on Thursday.

Forecasters say frequent lightning is possible with any storms that develop, as well as wind gusts of up to 70 MPH and half-inch sized hail.

Residents should remain weather-aware throughout the afternoon and evening hours.
