Arson suspect in custody after 3-alarm fire rips through Baltimore County business

REISTERSTOWN, MD—Authorities say one person is in custody after a three-alarm fire tore through a Baltimore County business overnight.

At just before 10 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, units responded to the Advance Auto Parts located in the 11900-block of Reisterstown Road (21136).

A mayday was called and a second and third alarm were sounded.

Investigators have determined that arson was the cause of the blaze and one adult male is in custody.

The Baltimore County Fire Department says that one fire lieutenant was injured and has been released from the hospital.

The suspect has not yet been identified.
