PIKESVILLE, MD—Police are investigating after a woman was shot and killed in Pikesville on Friday afternoon.

Detectives responded to the 7600-block of Labyrinth Road (21208) at just after 6:45 p.m. on July 7 for a report of an unconscious subject. When officers arrived at the scene, they located an adult female suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

The victim, 45-year-old Lakisha Wheeler, was pronounced dead at the scene.
