Police say brawl between gang members led to Edgewood quadruple shooting

EDGEWOOD, MD—Police have released additional details on a July 4th quadruple shooting in Harford County.

At just before 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, deputies with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 600-block of Edgewood Road for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a 21-year-old victim near the Royal Farms with a gunshot wound to the lower body. Deputies immediately rendered first aid until medics arrived and transported him to a local trauma center.

As the investigation progressed, three additional victims, a 21-year-old male two 17-year-old male juveniles, presented at different area hospitals seeking medical attention for gunshot wounds.

The investigation indicated that the shooting occurred in the 600-block of Harr Park Court, where a group had gathered. A physical altercation ensued, resulting in multiple gunshots and causing the crowd to disperse.

The investigation is active and ongoing. While the motive is unknown it is believed that the victims and suspect(s) were known to each other, and all victims were active gang members or associates. No further information is being released at this time.
