ROSEDALE, MD—A lucky Baltimore man who makes a living as a painter will soon have a lot of new walls to splash color on, thanks to a $50,000 top-prize scratch-off win. The happy player plans to buy a new home for his family after winning $50,000 on a $50,000 Cash scratch-off.

The 46-year-old told officials that he enjoys playing Maryland Lottery games. He and his wife of 14 years play often, he said. One particular day, the loyal player visited Rosedale Shell gas station located at 7514 Pulaski Highway (21237) to buy the $20 instant ticket. He scratched it off and immediately saw that he matched the number 56 to win the top prize.

“Me and my wife are very happy,” the lucky winner said.

The $50,000 Cash instant ticket went on sale in December 2022 with 160 top prizes. There are still 103 top prizes remaining along with other unclaimed prizes ranging from $20 to $5,000.
