BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory for the Baltimore area.

The advisory covers southern Baltimore County and Baltimore City and will be in effect from 8 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023 through 6 a.m. on Saturday.

Forecasters say up to one half foot of inundation above ground level is expected in low lying areas due to tidal flooding.

If travel is required, motorists should allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.
