PARKVILLE, MD—The St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church “Green Team” will be hosting a stream clean-up in April.
The event will take place 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 2504 Cub Hill Road in Carney (21234).
The St. Demetrios Green Team has adopted the stream that runs through the church property as part of the Gunpowder Valley Conservancy’s Adopt-a-Stream program.
The church will be holding stream cleanings twice per year.
Attendees will meet in front of the church and will proceed to the stream to remove litter, look for pollution problems, and clear invasive species. Participants will also be helping to install new garden signs.
