Police pursuit in progress in Towson

UPDATE: Police say that a routine check during the attempted traffic stop revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen. A brief pursuit occurred and out of an abundance of caution, officers decided to call off the chase. Officers stayed in the area where the vehicle was last seen and located the vehicle unoccupied in the area of Loch Raven Boulevard and Aberdeen Road.

After a search of the area, officers were able to locate one juvenile suspect but two more were able to elude capture at this time.

The Baltimore County Police Reginal Auto Theft Task Force will be assisting with this investigation. There were no reported injuries or other vehicles damaged during this incident. This is currently an active investigation.

TOWSON, MD—A police pursuit in in progress in the Towson area.

Initial reports indicate that, at around 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2023, authorities attempted to make a traffic stop in the parking lot at Panera Bread, located at 1238 Putty Hill Avenue (21286).

The vehicle pulled away and fled, heading eastward on Putty Hill Avenue.

The suspects reportedly bailed out of their vehicle in the area of Loch Raven Boulevard at Edgewood Road in Knettishall.

Police are searching for three suspects.  A Maryland State Police aviation unit is assisting.

This is a breaking alert.  No suspect descriptions are available at this time.
