ESSEX, MD—Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department have arrested and charged an Essex teacher with possession of child pornography.

Craig Clontz, 49, has been charged with five counts of possession of child pornography.

Clontz is currently an art teacher at Stemmers Run Middle School.

He is being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

At this point in their investigation, detectives do not believe any of the images recovered depict BCPS students.
