HILLDENDALE, MD—Police are on the scene of a Friday morning shooting in the Hillendale area.

The shooting was reported at just after 10:30 a.m. in the 1700-block of Glen Keith Boulevard (21234).

One male victim has been transported to an area hospital.

There has been no update on his condition.

Police say nearby schools have been placed on lockdown.

No additional information is available at this time.
