NOTTINGHAM, MD—A traffic stop led to a heavy police presence on I-695 in the Nottingham area on Thursday afternoon.

At around 3 p.m. on February 10, officers conducted a traffic stop on I-695 near Philadelphia Road (Exit 34).

Due to the circumstances surrounding the reason for the stop, a police spokesperson tells NottinghamMD.com that a felony vehicle stop was then conducted.

Witnesses told NottinghamMD.com that nearly a dozen police cruisers responded to the scene.

Authorities say two occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody without incident.

Police say they will release further details when more information becomes available.
