TOWSON, MD—The new recruits have been sworn in.

The Baltimore County Police Department swore in members of its 159th Lateral Recruit Class on Monday morning.

In all, six new officers were welcomed into the department in the Towson ceremony.

Family members were able to attend Monday’s event and Police Chief Melissa Hyatt was on hand to offer congratulations.

The new members will now move on to completing their field training.
