Woman who crashed stolen vehicle into police car on Pulaski Highway identified

ROSEDALE, MD—Police have identified the woman who crashed into a Baltimore County Police Department patrol car on Pulaski Highway on Saturday.

The woman has been identified as Jumana Abdel-Hamid Alhamarneh, 33, of no fixed address.

Further investigation revealed that Alhamarneh was briefly staying with someone in Pennsylvania before stealing their Lincoln Town Car on Friday night.

Officers from the Pennsylvania State Police were in the process of conducting a stolen vehicle investigation when Alhamarneh crashed the Lincoln into the patrol car on Route 40 at just after midnight on Saturday morning.

A warrant was issued by the Pennsylvania State Police for the vehicle theft. Alhamarneh is additionally charged in Baltimore County with “Fugitive from Justice – PA” and is being held on “no bail” status pending a bail review hearing.
