Hillendale man robbed at gunpoint, Taylor Avenue liquor store burglarized

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Police are investigating several local crimes that were reported over the past week.

At just before 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday, September 16, an individual broke into a shipping container behind the Goodwill located in the 6200-block of Kenwood Avenue in Rosedale (21237). Police say nothing was stolen.

At 4:45 a.m. on Friday, September 18, three individuals broke into the 8 Days Liquors, located in the 1700-block of Taylor Avenue in Hillendale (21234). The suspects stole cash, a cash register, and the register till before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.

Sometime between midnight on July 17 and 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, a portable generator and a set of keys were stolen from a garage in the 4400-block of Langtry Drive in Glen Arm (21057).

At just after 10:15 p.m. on Saturday, a man was walking in the area of Hillsway Avenue at Melby Court in Hillendale (21234) when five individuals approached and surrounded him. One of the suspects produced a handgun and told the victim to empty his pockets. The four other suspects then proceeded to steal the items from the victim. The suspects then fled in a vehicle.
