Baltimore County to host webinar on recovery for hospitality, tourism sector

TOWSON, MD—On Thursday, September 24, County Executive Johnny Olszewski will host a panel of industry leaders and advocates to provide an update on the state of Baltimore County’s hospitality and tourism industry and offer their insights on how these businesses can adapt during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“These small businesses are integral in making Baltimore County’s communities vibrant and diverse, and we remain dedicated to empowering their resilience and recovery during this challenging time,” said Olszewski, who will share his perspective on local government’s role in COVID-19 business support and economic recovery.

“Flipping the Script: Tools and Tips for Tourism Recovery” is the seventh session in the County’s “Baltimore County Business Forum – COVID-19 and Beyond” webinar series. Samantha O’Neil, Senior Advisor to Baltimore County Executive Olszewski, will moderate this 60-minute session.

Panelists include:

  • Kevin Atticks, Founder and CEO, Grow & Fortify
  • Mike Mason, Principal, Providence Strategies, LLC
  • Gabe Purviance, Baltimore County Commission on Arts and Sciences Member and Manager of Special Services, University of Maryland, College Park
  • Marshall Weston Jr., President and CEO, Restaurant Association of Maryland

The webinar will be presented live via Cisco Webex on Thursday, September 24 at 1 p.m., and webinar access information is posted on the County website at baltimorecountybusiness.com.
