UPDATE 2: Police now say that the suspect pointed a gun at his neighbor.  Officers were sent to the location where the man was identified and arrested.

UPDATE: A witness now reports that a man with a rifle has been taken into police custody.

CARNEY, MD—Police in Baltimore County are on the scene of a possible barricade situation in Carney.

At just after 11 a.m. on Monday, units responded to the 2500-block of Harwood Road (21234) for a report of an armed individual with a rifle, according to witnesses.

Harwood Road has been closed and there is a heavy police presence in the area.

Avoid the area.
