Man shot during Belair Road home invasion in northeast Baltimore

CEDONIA, MD—Police say a man was shot during a Belair Road home invasion on Wednesday night.

At around 11:15 p.m. on December 11, officers responded to the 5800-block of Belair Road (21206) for a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a 41-year-old man who had been shot in the lower left abdomen. The victim was transported to an area hospital and is in good condition.

Detectives have learned that the man was inside his home on Belair Road when someone knocked on his door.

When the victim opened the door, two suspects were standing at the door yelling commands at the him.

One of the suspects pointed a gun at the victim and the victim tried to disarm him. The gun discharged and the victim was shot.

The suspects then fled the scene on foot, running southbound on Belair Road.
