Police investigating bomb threat in Edgewood

UPDATE 2: Police have arrested and charged a suspect in connection with this case.

UPDATE: Police say no explosives were found and all roads have been reopened.

EDGEWOOD, MD—Police are on the scene of a Tuesday afternoon bomb threat incident in Edgewood.

At just after 2 p.m., the Harford County Sheriff’s Office said that deputies were investigating a bomb threat at Prince of Peace Church, in the 2600-block of Willoughby Beach Road.

Willoughby Beach Road is currently closed from Perry Avenue to Bauers Drive.

Edgewood High, Edgewood Middle, and Deerfield Elementary schools have been placed on modified lockdown status.

Motorists should avoid the area.
