Police in Baltimore County are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash on Eastern Avenue on Sunday afternoon.
Police were called to the area of Eastern Avenue and Tidewater Lane in Middle River (21220) at just after 1 p.m. Sunday after a 2017 Ram 1500 truck traveling westbound on Eastern Avenue struck a pedestrian that suddenly darted out into the roadway.
The truck attempted to swerve to avoid the pedestrian but the woman was struck by the passenger side of the truck.
She was taken to MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center where she later died.
Investigators have determined that the woman attempted to run across Eastern Avenue to catch an MTA bus that was stopped and loading passengers on the north shoulder of Eastern Avenue.
The victim has been identified as 19-year old Trinea Anerra Covington of Ambo Circle (21220).
