Fake contractors burglarize White Marsh home, Middle River man punches would-be robber

Police LightsPolice are investigating several burglaries, robberies, and attempted robberies that were reported over the past week.

At about 5:30 p.m. on Friday, October 5, a man approached another man while he was sitting on his front porch on Banca Place in Middle River (21223). The first man asked the second man for money. The victim told the suspect that he did not have money, at which time the suspect attempted to get into his pockets. The victim punched the suspect causing him to flee the scene.



At just before 10 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, an individual approached an occupied vehicle in the 4900-block of Hazelwood Avenue (21206). The suspect robbed one of the victims of their cell phone, phone case, and personal identity items.

At just after 4:30 a.m. on Monday, October 8, an individual used a tool to cut the lock to the storage area at the WalMart located in the 100-block of Carroll Island Road in Bowleys Quarters (21220). The suspect then stole 25 car batteries.

At about 1:30 p.m. on Monday, the residents of a home in the 5700-block of Ranelagh Road in White Marsh (21162) were distracted by one suspect claiming to be a contractor while a second suspect entered the residence and stole jewelry.

At just before 11 p.m. on Monday, an individual entered the BP store located on Carroll Island Road in Bowleys Quarters (21220), displayed a gun, demanded money, and threatened to harm the clerk. The clerk said that he called the police and the suspect then fled on foot.
