Victim identified in early morning pedestrian crash along I-95

Pedestrian StruckMaryland State Police have identified the pedestrian victim involved in Tuesday morning’s fatal crash involving a tractor trailer on Interstate 95 in Baltimore County.

The victim has been identified as Nicole Comi, 31, of Baltimore. She was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency medical personnel.

The driver of the tractor trailer has been identified as Michael McDonough, 59, of Edgewood.

At 2:30 a.m., state troopers responded to a crash involving a pedestrian at northbound I-95 in the area of I-695 and White Marsh Boulevard, near the King Avenue overpass. Responding troopers found EMS personnel treating the victim on scene.

Police have determined that Comi was walking in a lane of the highway at the time of the incident. It is unknown why she was in the roadway.

Northbound I-95 was closed prior to the beltway for just over three hours.

No charges have been filed. Upon completion of the ongoing crash investigation, it will be forwarded to the Baltimore County State’s Attorney’s Office for review to determine if charges are warranted.
