A water main break has closed a busy Nottingham road and left residents without water.

The break occurred early Thursday morning along Dunfield Road near Walther Boulevard, according to Baltimore County Councilman David Marks.

Approximately 500 residents are currently without water.

Dunfield Road is damaged and closed from Walther Boulevard to Eastmet Drive.

The cause appears to be a 12-inch diameter line. Six fire hydrants are impacted.

Repairs are pending. There is no word on when the road will be reopened.
