Police are investigating a shooting that took place on Friday evening in the Parkville area.

At just before 6 p.m. on Friday, January 6, officers responded to the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 7700 block of Hillendale Road, 21234, for a report of a shooting.

Police arrived at the scene and found a 21-year-old man suffering from a single gunshot wound to the mid-body.

The man was taken to a local hospital where he is expected to survive his injuries.

Police have no additional details to release at this time.
