Pedestrian killed in Pulaski Highway crash

Pedestrian StruckUPDATE: Baltimore County officials have confirmed that a pedestrian was killed in the crash.

A preliminary investigation has determined that at about 1:37 p.m., a tractor trailer was traveling eastbound on Pulaski Highway just east of Holly Drive when it struck a man in his 50s who was in the roadway. The man was transported to Franklin Square Hospital where he died. The tractor trailer driver remained at the scene.

The man was not in a crosswalk.

East-bound Pulaski Highway has been shut down at Holly Drive while police investigate.

The man’s name will not be released until notification of next-of-kin.

Emergency crews were on the scene of a serious crash in Middle River on Wednesday afternoon.

At about 1:30 p.m., paramedics responded to the 9100 block of Route 40 for a report of a crash.

Eastbound Pulaski Highway has been shut down at Holly Drive for accident cleanup.

Motorists should use caution in the area.
