Police are investigating after a man was found stabbed in Essex on Friday night. 

Details are sketchy, but paramedics reportedly responded to the 500 block of Eastern Avenue at about 9 p.m. on Friday. 

The victim, a 50-year-old male, was found stabbed multiple times at a nearby store. 

The man was taken to Shock Trauma for treatment of his injuries. 

There has been no update on his condition. 

An investigation is ongoing at this hour.
