Units were responding to a house fire in Essex on Sunday morning. 

At about 11:45 a.m., fire crews responded to the 1000 block of S. Marlyn Avenue for a report of a fire. 

At the scene, fire personnel spotted smoke coming from the kitchen of the residence. 

There has been no update on any injuries. 

Motorists should use caution in the area.
