Emergency crews were on the scene of a dwelling fire in Essex on Saturday morning.

At just after 10 a.m., fire personnel responded to the 700 block of Essex Avenue.

At the scene, crews found that there was a fire in the basement of the residence.

There has been no update on injuries.  Motorists should avoid the area.
