Motorists should be advised that the northeast corner of the inner loop of the Baltimore Beltway was shut down early Friday afternoon.
At about 12:30 p.m., the inner loop of I-695 was closed at the Belair Road exit in the Overlea area due to a serious, multi-vehicle crash.
The extent of any injuries is unknown at this time.
Fire crews and paramedics are on the scene.
Motorists should use an alternate route.
