Police are investigating a robbery and a burglary that were reported in Carney over the past week.
At just before 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 5, an armed individual entered the Carroll Fuel store, located in the 9200-block of Harford Road (21234), jumped the counter, and demanded that the clerk open both cash drawers. The suspect then removed cash from both drawers, grabbed the clerk’s cell phone, and fled in a vehicle.
Sometime between 10:30 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Monday, October 8, an individual entered a garage door to a home in the 9300-block of Waltham Woods Road (21234) and forced open an inner door to gain entry into the residence. Once inside, the suspect stole jewelry then fled the scene.
Police are investigating a pair of robberies that were reported on Monday.
At just before noon on October 1, an individual entered the Carroll Independent Fuel store located in the 9200-block of Harford Road in Carney (21234) and, at gunpoint, demanded money from the register. The suspect took the cash, then fled in a vehicle.
At just after 4:15 p.m. on Monday, a shotgun was stolen from a fenced-in yard in the 900-block of Arncliffe Road in Essex (21221) by a large group of juveniles and adults. When the victim attempted to retrieve the shotgun from the suspects, he was physically assaulted. All suspects were arrested at the scene.
The man who drove his vehicle into a gas pump at a Parkville gas station on Monday has died.
Police in Baltimore County say that 64-year-old Ronald Magsamen, of Middle River, died on Thursday afternoon.
Early on Monday, Magsamen’s car flipped over and hit a gas pump at the Carroll Independent Fuel station in Parkville.

Authorities are investigating after a car slammed into a Parkville gas pump early Monday morning.
The dramatic footage was caught on CCTV.
The accident occurred at the Carroll Independent Fuel station owned by Don Karbowniczek, located at the intersection of Old Harford Road and Putty Hill Avenue.
In the video below, the car can be seen careening toward the fuel pump, hitting it, then flipping over.
Fortunately, due to safety technology, there was no explosion.
It is believed that the male driver suffered a medical emergency, possibly a heart attack, which led to the crash.
He is still recovering from his injuries. No one else was injured.
