UPDATE: Police have confirmed that the shooting was self-inflicted.  No one else was injured in this incident and there is no ongoing threat to the community.

CARNEY, MD—Police in Baltimore County are responding to Tuesday morning incident at North Plaza Shopping Center.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at around 11:30 a.m. and found a dead body inside a vehicle on the shopping center’s parking lot, located in the 8900-block of Waltham Woods Road (21234).

The body had sustained a gunshot wound and sources indicate that the shooting may have been self-inflicted and domestic in nature.

No further details are available at this time.
