NOTTINGHAM, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning and Flash Flood Watch for the Nottingham area.

The Severe Thunderstorm Warning will be in effect until 6:45 p.m. on Friday and the Flood Watch will be in effect until 10 p.m.

Slow moving thunderstorms along a cold front merging with the bay breeze may produce over 2 inches of rain in an hour, especially near the Baltimore metro area, according to the NWS.

This may lead to rapid rises on small streams and creeks as well as flooding in urban and poor drainage areas.
