Carjacking reported in Rosedale, burglary reported in Parkville

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Police are investigating a series of local crimes that were reported over the past week.

At 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, a man was sitting in his vehicle in the unit block of Fernsell Court in Rosedale (21237) when another man approached him, brandished a knife, and then stole his vehicle. The vehicle was found shortly thereafter.  This is the second carjacking reported in northeastern Baltimore County within the past seven days (see earlier Parkville carjacking details here).

At just after 8:15 a.m., an individual entered a home in the 8300-block of Oakleigh Road in Parkville (21234) after shoving the homeowner out of the way.  The suspect stole a set of keys from the residence and then fled. Shortly thereafter, the suspect was arrested.

At just before 12:45 p.m. on Sunday, April 5, an individual met with a known acquaintance at the Days Inn, located in the 8700-block of Loch Raven Boulevard. The acquaintance exited the room and two other individuals entered the room. The two suspects robbed the victim of his personal property and they then fled in a vehicle along with the acquaintance.
