Police in Baltimore County are investigating a fatal, overnight crash that occurred in the Rosedale area.
At about 12:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, September 2, officers responded to a crash on Philadelphia Road at Hospital Drive (21237).
Investigators have determined that a 2002 Honda Civic that was traveling eastbound on Philadelphia Road crossed the double yellow line and collided a with 2013 Isuzu cargo box truck traveling in the westbound lane.
After the initial crash, a Ford Crown Victoria traveling eastbound on Philadelphia Road then struck the Honda Civic, pushing it into a parked Honda CR-V.
The driver of the Honda Civic was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as Jose Vicente Alvarenga Cruz, 54, of the 1200-block of Hanson Road (21040).
The driver of the Isuzu truck was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Ford was not injured.
The investigation continues at this hour.
