Parents invited to learn more about new elementary school in northeast area

baltimore-county-public-schools-bcpsCharlene Behnke, the principal of the new elementary school in the Northeast area, is inviting parents and guardians to learn more about the new school and share ideas at any of four meetings.

At the principal meet-and-greets, coffee will be provided.

The meetings will be held at the following locations on the following dates:

Monday, April 16, 2018, at 6:30 p.m.
Perry Hall Elementary School, 9021 Belair Rd., 21236

Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at 6:30 p.m.
Chapel Hill Elementary School, 5200 Joppa Rd., 21128

Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at 6:30 p.m.
Joppa View Elementary School, 8727 Honeygo Blvd., 21128

Thursday, April 26, 2018, at 6:30 p.m.
Gunpowder Elementary School, 9540 Holiday Manor Rd., 21236

The new school is located at 4816 Joppa Road near the intersection with Honeygo Boulevard in Perry Hall and is scheduled to open to students for the 2018 – 2019 school year.

The $49 million school will have a state-rated capacity of 725 seats and is planned to meet the silver LEED environmentally-friendly building standards.
