Police are investigating an assault and a robbery that took place in Middle River and Essex this week.

At just after 3 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7, the unidentified victim was struck by an ATV occupied by two unknown suspects in the 6300 block of Ebenezer Road, 21220. The ATV dragged the victim several feet before coming to a stop. The suspects fled the scene. The victim suffered minor injuries.

At 4 p.m. on February 7, the victim was on the basketball court at Sussex Elementary School in Essex when he was approached by a group of unknown suspects. The suspects stole the victim’s cellphone. Two of the suspects were later arrested.
