Boat fire reported in Essex

ESSEX, MD—Crews are on the scene of a Friday afternoon boat fire in Essex. The fire was reported at around 1 p.m. near Nanticoke Road (21221). Arriving units found smoke showing from a 40-foot boat in the water. All occupants are reportedly off of the boat at this time. There has been no word on any injuries.

House fire reported in Essex

ESSEX, MD—Crews are on the scene of a Saturday afternoon house fire in Essex. The fire was reported at around 1:15 p.m. in the 700-block of Essex Avenue (21221). Arriving units found an exterior fire on the side of the dwelling. The fire was quickly extinguished and didn’t spread to the inside of the residence. No injuries have been reported.

CCBC cancels classes, games due to coronavirus concerns
