A Friday water main break is affecting many residents in the Overlea area. The Department of Public Works says a six-inch water main has ruptured at 1 E. Overlea Avenue (21206). Approximately sixty residents and one fire hydrant are currently without service. There has been no ETA on repairs. Motorists should use caution in the area.

Crews are on the scene of a Thursday night house fire in Overlea. At just before midnight, fire personnel responded to a home in the 4800-block of Hazelwood Avenue (21206). At the scene, crews found fire showing from the two-study home. Several additional fire engines were dispatched and the fire was eventually extinguished. No injuries were reported.
