Five Below recalls 66,000 tabletop fire pits due to risk of burn injuries, fire hazards

WASHINGTON—Five Below has recalled about 66,000 tabletop fire pits due to a risk of serious burn injuries and fire hazards, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced Thursday.

The recall affects two models of tabletop fire pits that were sold at Five Below stores nationwide and online from April 2024 through August 2025 for between $2.50 and $5.

According to the recall notice, the fire pits’ alcohol fuel can splash or leak out of the reservoir during use or ignition, causing a flash fire. This can create larger, hotter flames that may escape the unit, posing a burn risk.

Five Below has received one report of flames escaping from a tabletop fire pit, but no injuries have been reported.

The recalled products include a smooth black base model and a beveled gray base model. Both come with a stainless-steel fuel cup, lid, and flame cover. The black fire pits were sold in blue, yellow, and white boxes with “Tabletop Fire Pit” printed on them, while the gray ones were in green boxes marked “Outdoor,” “Easy Modern,” and “Cement Tabletop Firepit.”

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled fire pits and contact Five Below for a full refund. A photo of the fire pit with the consumer’s name and date written on it can be sent to [email protected] to receive a refund via check or store credit. Consumers can also return the product to any Five Below store for a refund in the original form of payment, cash, or store credit. Proof of purchase is not required.

Five Below can be reached toll-free at 844-452-3569 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or by email at [email protected]. Additional information is available on the company’s website.
